and for stevenb allowing guns and going to solve anything its just give criminals more freedom. and since when people are trying to take over the government the government control by the people they need us to vote what are you talking about..

and btw..i was born and from jersey..thanks for referring to me as "sheeple"
And the current gun control laws really work on criminals who buy guns off the street?

I fail to see how creating more laws to restrict gun access to those who can have guns... affects criminals who are already disregarding the laws that were there?

Maybe you haven't been keeping up on recent things happening... And maybe you should look up the military act... and then insert your foot in your mouth. Our government boldly lies in our faces now, and doesn't give a ---- what we say. We've been fighting a war in iraq for quite a while.. and the majority of the citizens of the US don't believe we should be there... are we leaving anytime soon even though the voting population of the US says we shouldn't be there? Nope... why? Because our government functions without us. Something very soon is going to happen as our government keeps pushing it's power... and keeps taking the line even further... eventually we're going to have people snap.. and start lashing out at our government.

And yes, your views on gun control do point to the fact that you're a sheeple. You believe that gun control will solve the problems of violent criminals having weapons... when history has done nothing but prove otherwise... You believe a congressman, or your representative when they say "we'll take all the big bad guns away from these people and you'll be safe". Even though columbine and VT are happening around you.

If you end up with absolutely no rights left and decide to "stand up" how are you going to go into public with a gun without being arrested?

you guys keep jumping from one subject to another. I don't know how we got to this government ----. Who said to stop voting so the government will dissappear. The country was built on a democracy which needs a government which the government needs to people. so what your saying we need to get rid of the government and gun control laws??

No, but I think they should focus on making current laws work before they go creating a slew of other ones... like they're about to..

And The millitary act.

The same act that gives the president the ability to denounce your citizenship and have you locked up in a prison without being informed of the charges for as long as he likes.

Maybe you really should get out more or read up more on what our government is doing these days...

bd, you said in one of your posts no one should be in public carrying a gun. that statement is what conflicts with the bill of rights.
