They thought it was a domestic dispute that ended in a couple deaths, and the dorm was probably shut down. This isn't a "school" where they can just hop on the PA and tell everyone to evacuate. It's a ------ out campus.

If the shooter went to the gas station down the street and killed someone, everyone would be saying "they should have evacuated the town!!11"

Could they have handled it better? Most likely. They did what they thought at the time was best. If they knew someone was going to go around shooting people they would have done things differently.

exactly. there is no solution to it. but the worst thing is allowing everyone in there mother to just go ahead and come to school with guns. that just make matters worst. Why? because your going to have some dumb ***** who don't even know how to use a gun and might mess around and shot them or somebody else, play around and try to scare people with it as a joke which would result to other student not wanting to go to that school anymore, or have other psycho who would love to have someone tell them they can come to school with a weapon. Im not saying all students will be that iresponsible but theres what..thousand of students that go there? you think they all would be mature about it? i don't even want to know allowing a woman to come to school with a gun.

the solution to that problem is to better their security and know when to kick out a psycho when there were that many red flags thrown around.

Statistics show that violent crime in areas where civilians are allowed to open carry is 18% lower than any place where gun restrictions are in effect.

How can you guys not comprehend that?

And I think the recent shootings at columbine and Virginia Tech have proven that... schools are no longer a safe place for students.. because they don't allow weapons.
