I don't see why you can't understand that we don't have much, if any, control over the government. Of course they aren't going to tell you that you don't have jack ---- for control, then there would be some upset people.

Topic is gun control. Your votes aren't ----.

This is why the first and second amendment were created in the first place by the founding fathers. They wanted to allow the people to regulate the government in case it started to get out of control.

The first by freedom of speech, then the second if that is not getting the job done.

The major ---- up in this country is that the states have preemption over so many laws, it's bullshit. For example, the California Constitution has no "right to bear arms" plause. WTF!, what good is the Bill of Rights if the states can just ignore them?

Tell me how they need us?

And don't give me this "it's a democracy they need our votes" bullshit.

I didn't say anything about us being controlled slaves, all I said is they don't need us. I'm still waiting for your counterstatement other than "it's a democracy the gov't can't function without our ballots." BTW, gov't runs on taxes, not votes, and let me see you avoid paying those without some legal issues

Answer this: If the US citizens decided to overthrow the gov't, how would we go about doing it?

And no I'm not a conspiracy theorists thinking the gov't is out to get us and is an evil force enslaving us. I just realize there isn't much of ---- you can do about them. Oh yeah, we can vote for them to be replaced (with other candidates of their choosing) :1

People are just making a big deal of the wrong issues: gun control and how capitalism is evil and the downfall of modern society. I feel like the important issue that needs to be addressed, is to START MAKING PEOPLE INVEST TIME IN TO RAISING THEIR CHILDREN THE RIGHT WAY. People got away from that a looong time ago so now all of those other issues INCLUDING gun control are really IRRELEVANT. So the kid got picked on?? So what. I was harassed on a daily basis in school up until the age of 16 or so. I was kinda weird + short and chubby. Kids used to REALLY upset me with the way they talked about me and ragged on the clothes I wore and the funny machine gun noises I made in class, etc. etc...But my mother always stressed to me that in general, those kids didn't know ----, and one day I would hit a growth spurt, and that's just how kids are. In other words she said the things to me THAT I NEEDED TO HEAR in order to feel like a WORTHWHILE INDIVIDUAL. She was a good parent, who took time(and still does) to see that BOTH her kids had self-worth and knew the difference between right and wrong. She didn't just throw $$ at us to get us out of her hair and not give a ---- about where we were at and what we were doing. I'd be willing to bet this kids parents NEVER took the time to do those things for him or with him. Therefore, THEY are as much to blame for what he did as he is. And they are alot more responsible than gun control(or lack of) or capitalism or the 2nd amendment or minorites or blah, blah, blah, ------' BLAHHHHHH!!!!

You don't know him so can't say his parents didn't take care of him Don't put yourself in the same category as the idiots that assume stuff about people, you're smarter than that. I work with a shitload of koreans and as far as I can tell they're really strict and caring towards their children. Maybe their strictness and sheltering caused him to feel even more like an outcast? You don't know. I find it funny how they automatically reported he played counterstrike and did the typical "blame games" thing and then they didn't find ANY games where he lived. Another example of putting the blame on something with assumptions.

Unfortunately, parenting doesn't help every kid. But I agree, most parents should not be parents, because they dont know what the hell they're doing.
