They wouldn't need to change the definition of marriage if it were not so clearly outlined by the bible thumping group of people in charge of making laws.
marriage was definied THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO. at the time they did not say, hey lets make marriage between a man and a woman so we can spite those homosexuals. that will surely show them.

since when does teaching someone something force them to be that way? you have issues with not accepting views that you don't believe in. I hate being around **** and try to avoid them as much as posssible, i've known about it since I was young, it doesn't change that I prefer -----.

Do you realize how much you sound like the crackers back in the slavery times saying that blacks were bad because they were different? Grow up.
you need to grow up, and think a little bit about the issue and remove your emotion from it.

as i've said millions of times, NO ONE WANTS TO MAKE IT ILLEGAL TO BE A ******.

ITS MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH TO SAY ******* ARE DISGUSTING.

QUEERS FORCING ME TO BE TOLERANT OF THEM THROUGH LAW IS FORCING THEIR MORALS.

ME SAYING QUEERS ARE DISGUSTING DOES NOT FORCE ANYONE TO DO ANYTHING.

understand?

This thread is almost as entertaining as my son tonight telling me:

"You know what you call a car that you see bouncing?" "Mexican".

I'm still trying to figure out how that applies to the fact that bible thumpers decided that marriage was between a man and a woman and applies to our current society?

And no, because it's a "civil union" most companies and states do not recognize this as marriage. (Which is their right, even though Constitutionally it's wrong).

name a state that doesn't have civil unions.

companies can do whatever they want, they're private. hmmmm are you trying to force PRIVATE COMPANIES TO CONFORM TO YOUR MORALS? seems like it. i thought conservatives did the forcing.. hmmmmmmm

it applies because its what the majority of people believe, marriage should have nothing to do with the government, i think that would make us all happy. don't you think?

marriage = man + woman, always has been, and always will be no matter what queers try to force upon people

homos want the title of marraige, to further push their disgusting lifestyle on everyone else, one more step to making it normalized.

this is really a great waste of a night.

i find it interesting why if i was a teacher in school and said god is real. i would be fired and liberals would try to hang me.

but if someone where to say god does not exist. its a legitimate class and there is nothing wrong with it.

atheism is a religion, like any other. atheism and government is the religion forced upon our kids everyday at school

Because for many years people of your belief... have persecuted teachers who have taught other beliefs... (Ie: evolution, and the big bang, etc..etc.) It's kind of an unfair double standard.

And you're correct about the companies not having to honor same sex marriages.

that is in the past, and that is one of the reasons behind our constitution and the bill of rights within.

but this also applies on the other side, teachers should not force their views and morals on children, because in the stone age people were persecuted for their beliefs, does not make it ok for them to make up for it now by forcing them on children who cannot think for themselves.

if you're in college and sign up for a class and the class is about some left wing nutcase cause. this is fine. if you're in a public school where you cannot go anywhere else, and could not choose what class you're in, this is WRONG.

The only thing I have against this argument is...

The fact that the bible has seeped it's way into every crevice of the majority of our government and our people.

Noone wants to hear about other possibilities because that could prove their belief is fallable. Therefore they discriminate against other beliefs even if they are able to be proven scientifically.

The true win-win of this would be to teach kids both sides of the coin and let them make a choice.. but that will never happen with bible thumpers making up the majority of our school systems.

It is also wrong to force religion down their throat.. if they do not believe in that... but it was still done.. and is still done in some schools around the nation.
