Frank, the governments job isn't to protect you from yourself. That's the bottom line, and anything you choose or don't choose is up to you.
That reminds me of the major in the army who lived across the street. 100 fucken degrees out and she's wearing head to tow ---- to go ride her motorcycle. She said that if she crashed and the army found out she wasn't wearing blah blah, they'd charge her with damaging government property. lol. Can you say OWNED. What a fucked way to live life.

He is STILL protected even if he WANTS to.
You do not ACT, there is no ACT in wanting to ban gay marriage. When you actually leave your house and start taking an active role in getting gay marriage, sending letters to your senator, running for government positions, etc - then you're ACTING on your belief.
If I say I would like gay marriage banned, I've done nothing - I'm protected by the constitution, and you're a communist if you think I've done anything wrong simply by expressing my belief.

You don't believe in personal rights though, so you probably don't know that such things are protected by the constitution. In voicing my opinion I have impeded on NOT ONE PERSON's rights. If I went and lobbied congress to pass laws that would ban gay marriage I still haven't stepped outside my rights. Either congress will tell me I'm ------- stupid, or they'll take it into consideration.
Just as I can lobby congress to ban gay marriage, you could just as easily lobby them to ban heterosexual marriage and still be within your rights.

No, you liberal fruitcake - the rest of the world does NOT know exactly what I would do if I had the power to do it. You can only ASSume what I would do because you don't ------- know me, and you sure as ---- don't know exactly what I stand for. The only thing you know is that I don't approve of gay marriage or homosexuals in the military.

On what grounds do I need to discriminate? It's not up to me who gets married, but I can still hold the belief it's wrong for two men to be married. Legally I could give a ---- if they're married and get tax benefits and all that. What bothers me is that they have the gaul to call it marriage when the idea of marriage is a religious one and the bible clearly disproves of homosexuality.
I can dislike people for whatever ------- reason I want, but as soon as I act upon my prejudice I could possibly be prosecuted depending on the nature of what happened. If I was an employer and refused to hire somebody because of their race/sexuality/etc they could file charges. However if I was a priest I could deny homosexuals from getting married and possibly from even coming to church since it is a private assembly on private property.
What you don't realize is that everything you're saying about me can be thrown back in your face, because we all know what you would do if you had the power to do it, right?
