funny you mention chevy v6s... the 3800 v6 is on ward's list of top 10 engines of the 20th century. but nooo steve... you are right. they suck ***
and the 4.3l v6is argueably (and probably is) the best v6 engine ever made. afterall, its a sbc without the back two cylinders

doesn't GM now make the CTS-V and the ZR1... 550hp and 600hp... you think they just slap it together and hope it works?? cars were tested so they can slap on that monster warranty and not have to worry ..
It's pretty simple... a smaller displacement engine has to work harder to make the power of something bigger.. Displacement increases and regaurdless of effienency greater displacement will create more power with lower stress conditions..
I have 997 S in the garage thats had 2 motors in it sitting beside a c5 thats never missed a beat... both get driven the same.. track autocross.... when you start squeezing every last drop of power outof a small displacement engine the weak areas begin to show themselves.
Just my 2 cents.

btw. if you had a clue. you'd know that the 620hp ls9 (zr1) is 6.2l and the 550hp ls9 (CTS-V) is 6.2l also

there is a huge difference between the stress at 300rwhp and 600rwhp. go ahead and pull the ricer arguement that the engine is bigger, but its still more reliable at high power levels.
your ricer arguemnet about double stock output doesn't work, thats like saying if i take a 1hp motor and make 4hp its better than honda engine cause i just quadrupled the power.
its very difficult to explain to someone who really has very little engine building or racing experience about stress levels, sure you can be a ricer and say ooo double the power from stock, but doubling 300whp and doubling 150whp are soo very different.
its very easy to double 150hp, much harder to double 300. the stress levels at 600whp is probably 20x that of 300whp, not double as the power output would indicate to someone's knee jerk reaction... so your arguemnet is basically irrelevant

I am a fan of GM engines but its hard to support pretty much anything you say. Most of the points you make aren't very realistic and few have any real merit.
GM can make a damn good engine and its hard to get honda kids to appreciate that but they way you go about your arguments doesnt help.

Im sure auto manufacturers have similar standards where they specify a life expectancy in miles or hours.
i dont think honda only expects thier stuff to only last 150K.

lol...corey you're an idiot. there are tons of 600+ stock block whp ls1s. im just too lazy to post them up. also, how are your 1000whp stock block cobras? lolol
