Everything that shouldn't. Wiper motors/turn signal relays/heat controls/ecu's/headlight motors/crank position sensors, about 20 times/other random crap. Out of the 5 cars in my driveway right now, the newest one, a 2004 gm, Buick to be exact, is the only one laying there dead. Got all it's maintience, it's my moms car, she grandma'd the hell out of it and it still ---- out. And i'm not just trying to bash domestics, the other cars in the driveway are a mid 90's dodge quarter ton truck, my 87 celica which everything still works flawlessly on , 70 ford falcon and a 94 mercury mountaineer.

stress levels don't go up at a 1:1 ratio when compared to horsepower.

if you made a graph of stress levels compared to horsepower it would look like a 1000rwhp supra dyno.

and yes, bigger engines are more reliable at high power levels BECAUSE THEY CAN WITHSTAND THE STRESS. thats why they are bigger, the stress is still there, they can just take it.

your experience is not typical. but im sorry you've had bad luck. you can go out and find lots of cars with no problems, and lots of cars with problems. all cars have problems. even imports.

my moms camary has 140k i believe and it needs lots of stuff, and its seriously the biggest peice of ---- ive ever seen.

um no ---- it should be more reliable. and how do you figure its not a 1:1. technically the motor is 3 times the size. so it has triple the displacement and twice the cylinders. the the stress at 600 should be comparable to a honda motor making, and well be leinent 350WHP.

so you better find one with 10k miles, since they are engineering to blow up right when they cross 100k.

unless c5 vettes and GTOs are more reliable than camaros...

this is where a fundamental understanding about how engines work is needed.

technically the work being done is the same, since the engine is larger the stress is ------ out making the engine more reliable because each part in the engine is less stressed. the overall stress is the same.

trust me i plan on finding a car with less then 100K. as much as id like a reason to put piston and rods in it im not gonna spend 18K on a car that needs a motor rebuild.

you cant seriously believe a LS1 with 100K is going to be reliable with a bunch of mods, because obviously i dont plan to leave it stock.

everything I do at work is stupid ------- ---- on demestics that never should fail as early as they do, chevy is the worst. I make most of my money on gm products.

yes i do believe it will be, especially the engine. and it really depends on how the person drives it.

if someone beats the ---- out of the car, which people tend to do. yes its going to break ---- and need things replaced, this is common sense.
