they are not going to be stressed the same at the same power levels. the overall stress on a LS1 with 350HP is not the same as a honda with 350HP. the honda motor has to do more work (higher cylinder pressure, higher RPM) to make the same power as an LS therefore it is stressed more.
the stress is ------ out amoung more cylinders, or in bigger cylinders whichever is the case
thats why high powered larger displacement engines are almost always more reliable than smaller higher revving engines

my mothers previous car was a 95 dodge stratus, it had 240k on it, and had very little problems, i believe the only thing that went bad on it was the transmission electronics peice that controled the shifting. and old stratus are peices of ----.
it would still be going right now if she hadn't have not put anti-freeze in it
her 95 stratus was a much better car than her 95 camry.
everything inside is very comparable, cloth interiors, plastic, etc... both cars had passenger side window switch out.
but her camary has 100k less mles, and needs CV joints, tie rods, and wheel bearings. the trans makes noise and shifts very crappy and oil is always down at least a quart every change at about 140k i can understand the cv joints, but the tie rods and wheel bearings? its not really a common thing, but it happens ON ALL CARS.
and to top it off, the cmary has the 4 banger which is so ------- gutless, the stratus had the smallest motor possible whihc was a 2.5 v6. and it was much better for power, and the trans shifted much better, and they both get the same fuel mileage

all companies have thier fair-share of POS's......look at the 3000gt....any of them... their all pieces of ----. hell the AWS preludes are the biggest -----up by honda in history....
