and camaros are reliable. if you buy a ls1 camaro and leave it stock it'll last hundreds of thousands of miles

youre an idiot, lingenfelter gives a warranty because it costs 2 ********* and a kidney for thier ----, not to mention its a built motor. were not talking about built motors with AFTERMARKET parts in them, we are talking about quality from the factory. and it doesnt ------- matter if they make ---- for power from the factory its all relative to engine size you dipshit. 350WTQ from a 1.8L 4 cyl honda is NOT the same stress internally as 350WTQ from a 5.7 V8. therefore your arguement is invalid. lets compare how long each one lasts making twice the factory power honda making 300WHP stock motor will outlast a 600WHP stock LS1, ill put my money on it.

the engine can run forever but after half the electronics stop working, you've busted 5 heater cores, most of the interior trim is broken, you don't really want to own it for more than 140k :P

hey hows that 70k timing belt change on the honda hope it doesn't break before then....
Hey hows that intake re-seal on that SBC, hows that water pump. Yeah it sucks you have to do maintenance on Imports instead of Failures on US cars If you really think US cars are better u probably work on them with your eyes closed

you'll lose. just admit you're clueless.

go ask porsche how long their low displacement high stress high revving engine lasts at le mans, then go ask the boys at austin martin how their 5.0l engine lasts... maybe ask ferrari

then ask corvette racing how their C6.R motor does

you know most of the time the corvettes win so easy because all the other cars drop out due to engine problems... ownage

as far as i know NO corvette has ever dropped out of a race due to engine problems at le mans or sebring

never EVER had a problem with any intake manifold gaskets on any small block motor. or big block motor for that matter.

water pumps? they go out on all cars, not any more than normal on a small block.

small block chevy > every import motor ever made

cheap cork intake gaskets are what cause problems, and this is true on any engine even sweet i4 honda engines

yeah ill lose. show me a single stock internal 600WHP LS1 car. then ill show you 1,000 300WHP stock internal hondas. you already lost, but youre too stubborn to admit wrong so you go ahead and keep making yourself look stupid. everyone here knows it.

ls1tech.com

ls1.com

etc...

there is a huge difference between the stress at 300rwhp and 600rwhp. go ahead and pull the ricer arguement that the engine is bigger, but its still more reliable at high power levels.

your ricer arguemnet about double stock output doesn't work, thats like saying if i take a 1hp motor and make 4hp its better than honda engine cause i just quadrupled the power.

its very difficult to explain to someone who really has very little engine building or racing experience about stress levels, sure you can be a ricer and say ooo double the power from stock, but doubling 300whp and doubling 150whp are soo very different.

its very easy to double 150hp, much harder to double 300. the stress levels at 600whp is probably 20x that of 300whp, not double as the power output would indicate to someone's knee jerk reaction... so your arguemnet is basically irrelevant
