U seem to be turning down your tone a little..
My point was that U never know who you are arguing with and while I do applaud the cars you have built and recognize the fact that you must be fairly intelligent having built them... there are people in the world more intelligent than you and with more experience.

and FYI im in the market for a GM product anyways, but when you get retards like johnny i have to argue a point. i would do the same thing to a honda owner spewing garbage equally as stupid. im not as biased as johnny

Mathmatically it has to be less stressed...

if you have a 4cyl making 300hp it's operating at a far greater effiency than an 8cyl making the same power.
engines are essentially air pumps.. if you want to get really basic about it look at compressors for the garage... a single piston compressor vs twin (dual stage) look at the output of energy (in this case air and volume) between the 2.
I could reallyfuck this arguement up and bring up diesel locomotives... massively inefficient by design to promote longevity.
a Dyno chart for any 4cly vs 8 Cyl will prove it. i am not talking about HP , becasue you could compare a 140hp 305 to a 140hp 4cyl
the V8 will create it's peak HP and TQ at a much lower RPM. The result being less heat created by the frisction caused by moving parts.
a 4cyl by nature is peaky in it's power band. it has to work harder to create the same power later in the curve.. Hence a 4cyl that only revs to 5800 is considered an ancient turd , where as a small block that will spin 5800 can easily make 400hp..
