Ummm, the C6R/C5R is the most successful program in Le Mans/ALMS History. The Rolex Series is not American Le Mans, so you suck **** there. How does Porsche dominate ALMS anyways? Because they have their own class with maybe 2 competing other cars.
Top speed wise? It took the new $1.2mil Bugatti to top a car built in ------- 1989. Yippee, took the world almost 20 years to catch up to the Sledgehammer. Notice how the Hennessey Venom 1000TT destroyed the Bugatti by 4 seconds getting to 200mph in R&T's shootout? Yup, OHV motors aren't for fast cars are they.... The Speed World Challenge stuff handicapped the 2 most dominant cars those series had seen, the CTSV-R and the Mustang FR500 because they won every race when they came out. And how well is Toyota doing in NASCAR, since you brought up other single continent dominated series (F1).

the zr1 corvette in 1989 is faster than the newest NSX, handles just as good, brakes better, accelerates much faster, has a high top speed, gets better gas mileage, costs less... what else
