Ummm, the C6R/C5R is the most successful program in Le Mans/ALMS History. The Rolex Series is not American Le Mans, so you suck **** there. How does Porsche dominate ALMS anyways? Because they have their own class with maybe 2 competing other cars.

Top speed wise? It took the new $1.2mil Bugatti to top a car built in ------- 1989. Yippee, took the world almost 20 years to catch up to the Sledgehammer. Notice how the Hennessey Venom 1000TT destroyed the Bugatti by 4 seconds getting to 200mph in R&T's shootout? Yup, OHV motors aren't for fast cars are they.... The Speed World Challenge stuff handicapped the 2 most dominant cars those series had seen, the CTSV-R and the Mustang FR500 because they won every race when they came out. And how well is Toyota doing in NASCAR, since you brought up other single continent dominated series (F1).

i literally could go on and on and on throughout ever decade... the japanese have very few innovations, europe has quite a few, as well as US companies...

I noticed that the last innovation on your list was in 1980. I guess GM's lack of money has stopped development. It's also funny how it's now 2007 and nothing has changed since their last development in 1958.

No you dumbass, it takes 4 million to a beat a car built by Gordon Murray in 1989. In 1989 the Corvette was rocketing its way to a 14.7 @ 91.

And look at what a tremendous success that was. Every car on the road uses displacement on demand now and all the OEM's scrabbled to use it in there cars as soon as possible.

That's why it was the OFFICIAL record holder until the Veyron.

I could strap a solid fuel rocket to a gutted CRX and hit 700mph in 4 seconds. No one cares.
