Not good enough? Because I think its faster than any bike Japan has come out with. Definately has OHV and off-idle torque

what makes u think an outdated motor isnt good anymore? u make it seem like its new times time for a new motor cant stay with the old o no, an us domestic people can be as cocky as we want cause in the end domestic always wins, an do u really think domestic people care what ricers think in there community no, all they are is a bunch of low life wiggers thinkin there tricked out bumble bees can destroy anything

race wit turns(rally) ford focus is dominating last i heard subas right up there wit them, technology can kiss my *** if u ask me stuff is not really needed, resale ricers got, reliability thats back an forth, rest i guess ricers got 2 but over all still say domestics crush lol

Are you kidding? Total race championships? Haha, I'm pretty sure domestic cars have that one. Technical contributions? I'm pretty sure having the LS7R motor win racing motor of the year means it has some amount of tech in it, right? Race with turns? How many Jap cars in the last decade have won their class at Le Mans? None. Resale value? Plenty of old American iron is worth more than most of our houses... Long term survivability? Ford sure has been making cars for a long time, haven't they?

the small block chevy motor has won more races than anyother motor in the world.

cars, trucks, boats, planes, etc...

small block chevy = most produced engine ever made. 1952 - 2007+

there is a reason its still around.

i love how the number of cams and the way the valves are opened determines how good a motor is.

as previously stated by me... first PRODUCTION car with a OHC engine = 1912 must be time to retire the OHC design...

oh and bikes? which drag bike is the fastest in the world? OHV carb'd top fuel harley...

F1 has small displacement high revving motors because they keep lowering the displacement requirements BECAUSE THE ENGINES WERE MAKING TOO MUCH POWER AND THE CARS WERE GOING TOO FAST FOR THE TRACKS.

F1 racing has NOT always been 24krpm 3l motors.

c6 z06 owns europe, japan, and the world. hey go buy your 440k porsche carrera GT... now you can compete. go buy that err ummm from japan... uhh wait they don't make a car even close.

fords 140k GT is the closest to matching speed per dollar.

ultimate aero TT, twin turbo small block, 800k price tag, faster than the veyron, mclaren f1, etc... for a fraction of the price. 16 cylinders... 6 turbos?? 8 radiators?? wtf...

1 radiator, 1 small block, 2 turbos.

Total Race Championships? Go look it up. A Dumbestic company doesn't come close to owning that title.
Winningest (yes that's a word) manufacturers in international race series:

-WRC: Citroen
-Formula 1: Ferrari
-LeMans: Porsche
-Rolex Series (American LeMans): Porsche
-SCCA Sports Car: Acura


Technical contributions? Having a winning motor means nothing. That isn't a breakthrough, new idea, new technology, etc. Automotive performance technology is pioneered in Formula 1, in which not a single dumbestic company is capable of competeing. And as far as practical road car technological advancements, Japan and Germany (namely Toyota and MB) are waaaaaay out in front of everyone else.

Races with turns? Who said anything about Japanese cars? Although Japanese cars did thorougly dominate sports car racing in the 80's and 90's, the Europeans have just recently caught up and Audi has been cleaning house ever since. The Corevettes usually place well in their classes, but who cares. Where's the domestic brand P1 or even a piddly P2 car? Why can't a domestic company develop a REAL, full factory backed race car? (let me give you a hint: lack of funds)

Long term survivability? GM is teetering on the edge of going out of business.


Few other notables, see if you see any dumbestic names up there. Manufacturers that hold the titles of world's fastest:

Top Speed: Bugatti (256mph)
0-60: Bugatti (2.46sec)
1/4 ET: Ultima (9.90sec)
1/4 Trap: Ultima (143mph)
0-100-0: Bugatti (9.90)
Skid Pad (lateral g's): Koenigsegg (1.3g's)

Yup, GM is definately on top of the world. Go look up those things for yourself, the only dumbestic car that even made top 10 on any of those lists was the twin turbo Saleen S7, which, if I'm not mistaken, isn't even a factory car.
