just count yourself lucky you arent using a 4wd mazda box... they dont last 2mins with any decent power. they are quick little cars though, right out of the box.

So I've heard. Someone thought it would be funny to turn up the boost one click, which ended up being like 5psi. I rolled onto it in second gear and that was the end. So I blame it entirely on him. :P

So even though you dont have all of your gears.....is the Z06 still shitty? I bet if you rolled on one of those shitty Z06 vetts in second you could still use second afterwards.

Wow, this is some great E-racing page, i feel like i spent a day at the track just reading all of this.

Being a huge Ford>GM guy my self,

i do have to say, GMs never " far behind "

Ford was never all that " ahead " of the game, their 5.4 motors spittin out plugs, the 302, that was made for years, had to be changed because of people blowing the thing apart ( cracks in the block ) at 500+hp,

GM's got some awsome ------ ideas with there intakes, and such, just not a big fan of them cause they put motors in EVERY thing, (oh nice ford truck..what motor ? oh 350 chev) i hate it,

you want to talk about wicked 4cyl's how about the 2.3 ford OHC motors, i know a guy running 12.8's on junkyard parts in a mustang.

i know some people that have a 600HP 460, that's driven every day, a turboed 350 chev pickup, (cadracer) that was fast as hell, and i know a few mopars that would whip some serious ***, all daily driven.

i highly doubt the LSx motor get's any where near 25 MPG at all at 500 HP+

the ls7 does at 505hp 475tq

on anyother lsX motor if you make the 500hp with forced induction it could

definatly don't NA though

ohh, i didn't get it for a second.

i dunno about the 25+ mpg,

awsome mpg for a 500 HP motor sure,

how they did it, and mopar can't get over 18 wither there new V.D.S systems is beyond me, but ehh who cares ?

i'm kinda a car ****, i don't really hate any car, just the idoits that drive them...

notice how this form started as a bike vs car thing, and ended up being a domestic vs. imports / chev vs. ford thing ? allways happens huh ?

yeap.

the vette does get that, and can get around 30 if you cruise in 6th down the highway for a long time... like if you drive from seattle to portland with no traffic at 70mph you can get 30mpg...

it does it by a superior designed motor, perfect gearing for acceleration and cruising, and a very lightweight car.

i get about 25mpg in my ls1 camaro consistantly and i do about 50/50 city highway... it don't have 505hp though or weigh 3000lbs
