I would really love to see you stick with the SOHC. I think with a little of the right head work, stock sleeves, a big turbo, and a chassis set up right, 10s shouldn't be that hard. There's a guy on Maui that runs a drag race preped ef hatch, and a SOHC putting out about 275 hp, and he runs low 11s. I think your goals are very reachable. BTW I'll see if I can get that guys video.

*Edit* Here's the guys, civic's page.

this might be a stupid question, but i didnt see it mentioned on here... anyways, why not combine the two, and go with the DOHC ZC?? you would basically still be running a D and you would have dohc... just curious. btw, i've thought about running a built turbo'd ZC, so im interested on what people have to say about that...

Go B you won't regret it!! Or you could really step up your game and go H-series. One of my buddies builds turbos for people and they have a couple running upwards to 400whp on a stock motor, only thing they changed is the head gasket out for a thinker one. Another good thing about the H is you still have some good torque numbers. Right now I have a B18B and I love it, can't wait til the new motor (B18C1) and turbo goes in.

toss some methanol injection on the D, that'll take care of those pesky ignition tuning issues

i think we had tj's crx with the d16y5 at 14 degrees from 15psi clear to 30psi (and yes he pushed 30) with the meth injection, basemap style we never really tuned on it much

go f22, haha nah you would just be gay if you did that. you could always go the route of getting a h22 and build it theres about a million less guys with a h22 then a sohc build. theres to many of you guys wanting to show power on a d-series it makes it easy for us with b-series to look good. but you feel the way you want to feel. im going to say something really corny-go with your heart man. lol its good to hear someone else has a coupe though. i feel like im the only guy trying to make a coupe fast. now if you want to stick to something no-one else is doing or accomplishing stick with making your coupe fast
