hell even the B series stock internals are good for about 100whp over the D series internals

I'm not just trying to build a car that is "impressive" to random people on the Internet. I want to build a car because ever since I went turbo all I have heard is SOHC sucks, D-series is gay, you should swap, DOHC is better, etc... I want those same people to say "holy ---- that SOHC coupe just beat that 500whp DOHC hatch!". I would be just like everybody else if I went B-series, so that's why it's not such an easy decision for me. If I had turboed my car and ran 14's and made 175whp things might be differet, but I made 230whp and ran mid 12's. I just think I would like the challenge more, but we will see when I actually have to build the motor. If all that mattered was having the fastest car? I wouldn't be driving a honda...

I know where your comming from, BBKA has been known for SOHC's forever. However your biggest mistake in life was not charging people 5 cents to run your Uberdata basemap. ---- if you did that you'd have a 7 second D-series with money to spare if you did that. ;)

It's obvious with his last quote/line that he wants that underdog, but wants it to succeed just as well. Do the D and I'm sure you can make it happen. ;) ;D

Who said I will only have 500whp? See man you make me want to stay D-series, so I can smoke your ass! Traction owns you... :P Oh and what about nitrous! Come on man, I'm not going ot half ass my SOHC build if I do end up staying with that. It will come down to the driver and the traction setup either way, not what motor I'm running.

I wast thinking the same thing, but I see about 500whp being the limit on the little D :-\

ignorance may come into play here.


i would love to see you beat my dads 500+ whp 4 door civic with a single cam on pump gas :-D or ---- even on race gas. thats where the avc-r comes into play for traction control :-D dave knows all about it :-D.. a peaky powerband isnt ---- pat, its all about usable.
