You sure are a cocky little fucker... ;) Did you check that link I posted of the built D16z6 running a gt30r? There was about a good 3,000rpms of powerband (5-8k), which will be plenty when your racing to not drop out of boost. I would have a better head anyways, so I would have even more of a powerband than that car. I would also slap in shorter 3, 4, 5 gears in my tranny, which will help. Great you have an AVC-R, do you think I am just going to have a switch for going from low to high boost? Come on man, you may know a lot, but I'm not stupid. ::)

My $0.02 on the subject.

Jd jecu was referring to boosting the k series in that quote.

So was I.

K-series has D-series sized rod bearing supporting ----- rods, and a fucked up gearbox that frags itself on bone stock cars driven by women. BUT OMG THE INTAKE CAM FLOPS AROUND LIKE A LIMP WRIST ITS GOT MAD TITE JDM i-VTECH!!!111

Play nice. I think the K swap wouldn't be a bad decision. They do have some pretty shitty rod bearings, but they can still make power. I personally love my K swap and if I had the money that is where it would go, it kills a B all day long. Once the K swaps come down in price, a lot more people will notice. :)

BBKA just build a B and be done with it. Just do something different, which is rather difficult.. but I am sure you can think of something.

Run a B18A1 and some Crower 404 cams with a big fatty turbo, some headwork and some forgies. ---- vtec.

Stay true to your roots D style. The best part of going this more expensive route is popping your hood after the deed is done, and watchin the jaw drop action.
