im gonna put some lil ford festiva 12's on my car with a 40 series tire so i can be cool like rs and get good gas mileage.

I understood that, but i assume (and maybe i shouldnt) that wether the odo is off or not that tracking his mileage is still fairly straight forward, if teh car had a 3.08 gear and now is a 3.55 it isnt going to make a drastic difference when tracking teh mileage....he still is aware of when he puts gas in, how often, and how far he goes, i never track mine but when winter hit's and my filter is plugged solid my mileage goes to ----, i know cause i go the same places (yep, mostly to mc dick's) and yet put more gas in...so if my mileage was better, i would notice is all im saying, i was just trying to say his mileage claim isnt without merit.......

All I know is my V8 must be defective becuase I get an average of 17mpg. And yes my car has a speedo calibrator.

Depends, coulda been a 3.08 or 2.73, but with a 3.55 it makes cruising in fourth gear possible, keeps teh rpm down and helps mileage........nuff said.....

My car has 10 less lbft of torque and .3L less displacement than a 5.0. And the 99+ "small motor"4.6 blows the 5.0 out of the water in torque and HP. Wow thats a world of ------- difference.
