lol, this thread is funny. I love how johnny argues that his muffstain gets great milage with the turbo, practically better than before the turbo right? hah, thats normal, you add 100+whp and your milage goes up 
Johnny, I used to have a 89 5.0 with a automatic in high school, and I know for certain there was no way 20mpg was even close. Obviously your speedo is off, or your definatly stretching the truth to the max. The 5.0 302 is no modern marverl and even with freeway gearing you aint gonna get super milage.
So why even argue about it? nobody is going to beleve you. :1

it only adds 100rwhp when i mash the pedal, every other time it drives like stock, except for the fact is more efficent whenever the turbos are blowing air into the motor.
figure it out for yourself, if i have to barely press the gas down to go up hills, or to accelerate with traffic, its going to get better mileage than when it was stock and a dog and i have to go at least 1/2 throttle to climb hills and to accelerate with traffic.
its common sense, and i'll prove it to you when i move up there

last time i put gas in my car it was on E.
i put 5 bucks of super in it. 2.30 a gallon here
5 / 2.30 = 2.1 gallons
so far ive gone 36 miles, and the gas gauge it still above E.
36 / 2.1 = 17.1mpg
and its all city driving. and i still got at least 20 miles or more left
56 / 2.1 = 26.6mpg
like i said, i dont care if anyone believes me, all you have to do it ask other mustang people. i'll keep enjoying the decent mileage i can get

43 miles, still not on E. ALL city driving. eat your heart out 
43.3 / 2.1 = 20.6
if i only get 5 more miles before it sits on e. thats still 22.8mpg ALL CITY
