Johnny you are suppose to fill up the tank, count the millege unitl it almost empty out, THEN fill it up to FULL tank and divid the millege by the numebr of gallon it took to COMPLETELY fill up the tank.
If i did it the way u do (fill it up with 2.x gallon then watch the gauge, which i tried :P) my POS automatic v6 maxima would be getting 50mpg LOL

Back then in the civic I net 39mpg on a regular basis them most i got is 40mpg, if i drive the ---- out of it it would still net 25mpg
gotta love Hondua

I'll just have to drive your car with a full tank and run it to E for a week to find out for myself.. otherwise nobody is going to beleive this horseshit

330/13.4 = 24.6mpg 1/3 city 2/3 highway. 10+ 1st to 3rd WOT trips

ok i'm sick of reading this. johnny, you're comparing apples to oranges, big motors, between two completely different cars is not an ideal comparison of the motor's ability to provide good fuel economy. There are so many factors contributing to the equation its not a fair comparison. gearing, tire size, transmission type / gear ratios tuning etc..

if you take your mustang as it sits right now, swap in the 2.3 4cyl still using your tranny (possible?) and rear end gearing the 4cyl will get better milage simply because it has smaller displacement. And stop using the uphill cuna hair theory, no one drives up a hill all damn day.

from (http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Sp...mid=-1&src=vip)

(i'll assume for are from a 5-spd since it's the Std transmission offered).
GT (5.0 v 16/24
LX (2.3 i4) 25/30

I win.
