What do you think we are doing when we're at the door, we're talking to you. and we all have jobs, we interact with people.

It's crazy people think we're so secluded, the point about worldly people is what I posted earlier, "bad associations spoil useful habits" meaning we don't want to be around people who might have reason to make us compromise our moral standards. see my analogy of a smoker in an earlier post.

No of course that's not true, that's just stupid. How else can you survive in this world. We are just like anyone else in the world, work, school, anything.
There's no money involved or required in what we do. It's all supported by donations and nothing set either like some religions do, they will give you a bible for a set donation of $60. You give what you can, no one gets paid to this not even what you could call the highest member, which really doesn't exist we are all equal.
I work for a living and practice my religion like a lot of other people, including all Witnesses.

The work we do going to people's houses is done also freely and comes from your heart and the sense of responsability on what we are required by God to do, not because we are forced to do so or to meet a quota.

Yes there are some things called territories which just split up the area into organized pieces and we go to that area for whatever time it is done, this changes everyweek usually, so that it is all worked without having people repeting the same areas and honestly pissing people off.

We do keep track of our service for number purposes, just to see how much growth there is within the organization, as of 2005 I believe there was a little over 6.5 million Witnesses in 235 countries, but that's it.

That depends on what your definition of a good person is: you seem to think that shrooms and weed are perfectly viable recreational opportunities. This goes against what I beleive, thus you might influence me towards thinking the way you do. Which could be detrimental to my faith.

Thus you're right, I shouldn't hang out with you.

yeah that.....I have non JW friends and had a bunch in school, use to play Ball all the time with them and do different what you could call activities with them. But if you are doing drugs and I don't know stealing and anything else, then why would I really want you as a friend.

I think these last #'s are the best because it sometimes suprises people how many witnesses there are, and also how many countries we are in. We also publish literature in over 150 languages. ALL supported by donations from people who want to see as many people as possible be saved. Another neat thing about Witnesses is that in each congregation there is an accounts report read each month to the congregation that tells you how much donations were recieved and more importantly, where the money is going.

Another fact many people don't know, is that Jehovah's Witnesses were persecuted just as badly if not worse than the Jews during the Holocaust. They had to wear a purple triangle identifying them as such.

i hang out with people that don't smoke or do shrooms. i don't pressure them to do either with me. i will ask if i'm about to smoke a bowl if they wanna hit it. just as i would if i was getting a pepsi for my self. you shouldn't have to worry about your faith.

It's not even about you asking me though, it's more be being in a situation to where I would think it's ok that you're smoking weed. If I reached that point then I would know that I'm already influenced in some way.
