Well i belief that the bible is written in code that says your a ***. I also would like to add that Code Red mountain dew is yummy and quenches a chicken taco well. I also would like to say that i tried low fat ice cream this weekend and it really wasnt that bad.

Ive gotta agree with Whitey's points. I myself do not feel the need to study and believe in a religion to lead a moral life. All things considered, aside from the war and conflicts that seem to arise from religious differences, the net effects of practicing a religion can be very beneficial to most people. Providing guidance in living a moral and just life.

On a lighter note, my brief exp. w/ witnesses is when back in High School, my brother answered the door to greet them in his tighty-whiteys w/ a hard on. hahaha, they left.

That all depends on how you view things. I never ever felt bad or different because I got no birthday gift. It is a fact that the celebration itself comes from pagan rituals. The only two birthday celebrations talked about in the bible ended up with two assesinations(Genesis 40:20-22; Mathew 14-10). Then Ecclesiastes 7:1 says that "A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one’s being born." There's a lot more to it, but discussions like this on a board are hard to do, and some of the points put up in here would take a little longer than a few paragraphs to explain.

Being a christian I rather avoid a celebration that could be against what I believe God wants from us, than do something because it makes me feel better and being wrong.

Now if you don't believe in God then that's different.

all of those answers are in the bible, it's really simple if you are open to a discussion, but most of you aren't.

that's the thing right there if you don't have faith in anything, or any higher power, you won't want to understand and don't care for it and that's fine. That's what you want to believe and your decision.

There's no contradictions, everything works with itself, the whole bible has the same basic theme from the first prophecy in genesis, to the last ones in revelations. It all works to the same end.

Now some people are just ignorant, don't want to make sacrifices, believe in something, and rather believe the lies of some other people that don't know any better.

Its not that I dont have faith in a higher power. Because, I in no way shape or form could personaly disprove that. and i dont beleive everything in the universe just poped up out of nowhere. Its just that, I personaly have no faith in monotheistic religions, In the storys of any bible, from the words of any prophet. If you can go through life, and be a good person. Then in death, I personaly feel you should be ok. I have my own beleifs about how things work. But thats just me. Beleive what you will, I have no right to impeed on your faith. I think most major monothieistic religions try to anthropomorphize god and that throws allot of people off into thinking of god as some father figure.
