92 mustang twin turbos

Re: 92 mustang twin turbos
When you tap the pan, you should be able to keep the metal out of it. None will get in by punching thru it (don't drill it). Then widen the hole with larger and larger punches. When you get it the right size, tap the hole using a grease covered tap. The metal shards will get stuck to the grease in the grooves of the tap. After taking all the precautions, flush oil thru it.

That looks drilled. Not sure if there is enough "meat" to tap when you drill it. Removing the pan on a 5.0 is a bitch. You are almost better off pulling the motor. For all the non mustang people: The pan has two sumps with the front K member running in a valley between them. The oil pump hangs down into the front sump and an extension goes to the rear one where the pickup is.
