i didnt know it was gonna be that cheap.. ill get it resurfaced for sure
friend was telling me to get it milled a little.. lol idk how far is feasable.. meh

ok so ran and drove the car today all day and sorry for the retarded question but is it normal for the head to be hot as ----

got the oil changed btw.. car runs and drives fine.. just has fucked idle.. meh.. i also need to redo the throttle cable.. and adjust the clutch cable.. lol

yah the head is the hottest part next to the header are turboing the motor if not have them take tenthousanths of bump the compression ratio a point and a half over stock for cheap hp milling and shaving the head is the same really

I went with the .051 cometic. Bumped my c/r down to right around 9.1

i would double-check where that oil leak is really coming from before you just go ripping the head off again. It might be migrating down from the cam seal or dizzy

ya those cam seals go down hill after 10 years so a 1st gen b16a needs new one for sure. Buy a cool billet one

that makes sense.. i kinda figured when i turned on the car there would be oil pressure in the engine and cause it to gush oil but it didnt lol and its not even leaking that much.. ----

timing wont be a problem for me tho because i can just mark the belt and cam with paint and not move the crank and booya

Did you set time with a timing light? I just had to do mine after a new cam install. Set everything tdc, car ran, but set timing with a gun, it was 10 degrees retarted and sluggish.

no timing gun.. lol i dont even know how to use a timing gun

the rex did something wierd today.. on start up it idled at 3k rpm then went down and held at 2k then after some rippers arround the block as i was coasting into my driveway the lumpy idle ---- started up again.. lol

what would cause the rex to dump more than half its oil in less than a day?

it dumps smoke from the muffler intermittently...

so heh.. idk.. any ideas? just did a botched head gasket job.. but the car runs and drives fine.. heh
