Yeah, I hate the feel of small guns, but for daily carry you will get sick of a large gun REAL quick.

I was looking at something along the lines of .40 or even a 9mm. 1911 maybe too big to carry?

your not using a 1911 to carry. WAY to big. i found i cant even carry my P239 9mm on my hip, i need an inside holster and it needs to be next to my **** to conceal it.

I liked the feel of the few I tried out though. They don't feel too big to carry to me, but maybe its just a personal preference. Not looking for anything flashy, just something that can get the job done, or at least end a confrontation before it starts just by its presence. No chrome, no flashy .50 cal Desert Eagle, just something with decent stopping power that I can carry on my hip underneath a jacket or large shirt.

i have a friend that has one as his daily carry and has no problem. i guess its all in personal preferance because i woul think it would be too big also. i wouldn't go with anything smaller then a 9mm, there are alot of nice guns for a decent price and if the compact versions feel good to you then get one of those. i might be picking up a compact version of my glock if i can get then extended clip with the place for my pinky to rest.

.380 is only a butt-hair smaller than a 9mm. Still plenty of stopping power.
