On a side note the HX52 specs out the same as a 4094, 67mm inducer 77mm exhaust wheel, albeit the HX52 has a slightly larger exducer from the 94mm found on the 4094. Making it a solid 800whp+ turbo.

Assuming that that is the inlet :

I realise that this probably doesn't matter very much/at all, but it's a shame you didn't curve those top and bottom faces such that the exterior was concave. Doing so would have ensured better ------ of airflow across the end of the core, increased velocity and reduced volume too. The middle of that core will get slightly more airflow as it sits.

If it's the outlet, similar things apply, but it won't affect the flow evenness across the core at all.

Fred.

Detroit series 60 turbo is pictured above, in one of the comparison photo's (the garrett, in the orange crush photo) It is a journal bearing GT42, and has a ~72mm wheel vs the 67mm wheel in the hx52. Also the GT42 from the Detroit, has a T6 exhaust flange, with a big 1.34 a/r. Which is far bigger then the 16cm T4 flange on the hx52. All in all the Hx52 is a better turbo for this app. If in fact he finds he needs more air, we can swap a PRO 52 wheel on to it for pretty cheap.
