Boosted, now overheating

Re: Boosted, now overheating
leak down test shows #1 3% #2 3% #3 4% and #4 3% if it were leaking through the headgasket, it would show it on the leakdown test, it would force air through the h/g into the coolant and id see bubbles, the cylinders arnt leaking, im going to do a compression test tommorow to verify.

Re: Boosted, now overheating
well the brand new one didnt do anything either, wich is kind of what i expected. anyways im going to compression test it today. hopefully that will show the same results as the leakdown test. anyways, im kind of hopeing it is a blown headgasket and hopeing it isnt. i would like to put new headstuds and a new headgasket, but i would rather it just work as is.
anyways i appreciate everyones help.

Re: Boosted, now overheating
Just did a compression test. The biggest variation was 10 psi, betwen #2 and #3. That accounts for a 4.6% difference. This motor probly has 2000 miles on it. Its barily broke in, and obviously there is not a blown headgasket. I'm 100% sure its the radiator. It should be here wednesday. Thanks for everyones help
#1 223 psi
#2 225 psi
#3 215 psi
#4 223 psi
#1 223 psi
#2 225 psi

#4 223 psi

Re: Boosted, now overheating
well i havnt found one for the d16a1s yet.
i ran probly 3 months with out one and it didnt hurt a thing. i hear alot of things about no thermostat being bad, but i havnt realy seen any concequences. hopefully it wont hurt anything, but if i find a good low temp one i will definatly use it
