if the timing is far enough off it will cause the engine to overwork itself and run hot in either the advanced or retarded position. try advancing the timing back a little bit and see if that doesnt help. mine ran a lil hot too until i got the del sol VTEC dual-core radiator, now no more problems.
but damn 8psi with no intercooler, and running 86? you're just asking for problems. you can pick up a cheap dsm intercooler for less than $50, ---- i'll sell you mine for $30.
also, how does it run? does it run like crap? it could be possible you missed or skipped a tooth on the timing belt, that could cause it to go out of time and run hot.

hmmm, yeah thats what im hopeing. basically if i stay out of boost and the temp is around half way it wont climb any more. but if it gets about 2/3;s up itll just keep climbing boost or vac or idleing. But i drove it around the block and while it was idleing it didnt get hot (damn redlight lasted what felt like an eternity) but luckly i didnt over heat.
i put some octane booster in it, and once it cools down im going to go to the gastation down the road and get some 93 in it. HOpefull thatll cure it enough to drive.
Ps what is the normal running tempatures of a stock and turbo d16 motor?

hmmmm, well i just put in 93 octane and some octane booster.... and i also advanced the ignition slightly. Its still getting to hot. I think either my h/g is blown or my radatior is clogged or just insufficient. Im going to be pissed off if its my h/g because i had the head machiend my local machine shop and i had the block bored, they were supposed to check the block to make sure its true.
how often do hondas have a problem with head gaskets not sealing due to the block being uneven? Do the cylinder sleeves ever shift? I highly doubt a h/g but im going to test it today.
