its always about cost vs. power here you already know that. you can acheive your goals on what your current setup is with a just rods/pistons and new bearings, with the ls you know you woudl probly have to egt a new turbo, manifold, pistons rods and who knows what else while your at it. just get a chipped ecu and crank the boost up for now till you buy your rods and pistons. and remember D-series+10psi=Will Turn You Out

Yeah but when you say "10 psi and D will turn ya out" what you mean is. "It will break your ---- (motor)" right? I need this car to last until I can find a new block and buy the ----.

not on a tuned and chipped ecu. basemaps that are ---- are what will make you blow, and improperly "tuned" fmu's.

i ran my old y8 at around 12-14psi all depending on the spike for a good 2.5 years on a decent street tune till i sold it. there is no reason a D series in good condition shouldn't be able to hold at least 10psi with a decent tune.

So are my cliff notes correct here?

stock internals... 11psi...stock injectors...stock fuel pump... chipped p28... dyno tuned... this will be a reliable DD?

only real thing to change is your injectors, get some dsm 450's black or blue top, then get it tuned. youll run leaner than ---- with 10-11psi on stock injectors, if theyll give out, then you have to pick up pieces of your block/motor.
