I got a pile of parts off of a baller build that came apart after 2K miles. $700 buys RC1100cc, TiAL 44mm, RFL, incomplete B16 head with Ferrea springs/retainers, and a T67 from Peakboost with minor turbine damage but otherwise flawless:

I keep wanting these huge ------- turbos that barely fit; HX35, HE351W, S362, S372. ---- it. I'm throwing a divided housing on the T67 and running it, it weighs about 15 lbs and is the size of a normal turbo.

get a new case/tranny, it'll be cheaper overall.

JD, can I kick you in the gonads?

---- it I will if you drop a tranny to replace a .702 5th for .694!

3000 rpm in 5th with 23" tires and .702 5th = 68.83 mph
3000 rpm in 5th with 23" tires and .694 5th = 69.62 mph

I fart more than that!

im not sure i understand the logic. the amount of work is the same. its a tranny swap either way. i can pull the case half off and reassemble it. i know a guy that will weld it for $35. (shop rate is $70 per hour and they have a half hour min.)

so, total cost is $40. what am i missing?

not trying to be an ***, i respect your opinions, i just dont see it being cheaper to buy another tranny for $150

Im going to build a fire pit in the back yard. Can I toss your RFL in it?

Why do you want to burn my riceboy mating call, Rob? Wouldn't you rather install it on your Supra?

I think id rather take 2 bosch bypass valves, in all their cheap plasticyness, than 5 RFLs.

If your still gonna tune harry's car tonight, make sure he turns the boost controller all the way to the nig-nog setting. Nothing else will suffice.

Those pile of **** stock cams are going to make the engine knock at the 325 whp range, on pumpgas. The boost controller gets turned to "merely sufficient" and no further until the cams are swapped out.

I have 137 miles on the setup so far. A good part of that is accel/decel in gear to seat rings, but I also took a nice, luxurious cruise to Shadyside Dragway today to babysit a car.

I calc'd my mileage, says I'm getting 40.1 mpg. Haha. I'm going to get some time on a loading dyno next month so I can work out my ignition maps, and I'm also looking into a hydrogen conversionwater injection for lower bsfc aka efficiency.
