Sorry for the ginormous pic, but here it is, the nornco NP-29.
This thing only cost me 325$ with the case and locks as well as the six mags and all that in canada too.

Me? In canada there is no short handguns
Right from http://www.cfc-cafc.gc.ca/faq/default_e.asp
Prohibited firearms include:

handguns with a barrel length of 105 mm (about 4.14 inches)

Not with a bore like this A .22 conversion would cost more than i paid for everything

Nice gun and that is a great price, 1911 is a must for any real firearm collector. How is the trigger pull? Looks like the gun has been worked on before.

Thanks. I acutally found the trigger pull to be acceptable, no idea in lbs but its not heavy and its has a crisp break, little too much pre travel though. The extended slide release and safety as well as the tail are all stock parts. I dont think the full length guide rod is stock though. This gun needs some range time and a good polishing of the internal parts, and maybie a slightly lighter recoil spring for the cheap ammo i feed it

now that you modified that, sell the stock and buy a real one, remove the floor plate, get a real trigger group and then you have a real ak
