go to the store and handle a mini14, or a mini30 if they have one, a ak too if they got one of those. only a real store would prob have a mini30.

ak and mini 30 use 7.62x39mm not 59 thats bigger then 7.62x54r :1

and since you claim to be a hunter why the ---- are you taking shots at a runnign elk at 300yds? that is the most irresponsible thing you can do while hunting. your lucky you knocked out its legs. you have a moral obligation to only shoot to kill, not potshots to maby hit it in the *** or some ----.
