Has ANYONE taken it upon themselves to build a cam checker for D's?

Ok, mine is basic, but gets the job done.......

http://www.cranecams.com/?show=brows...tType=camshaft

the specs I got tonight off a Crane 251-0016 cam.......

Intake .421" valve lift, 216 degrees duration at .050" valve lift
Exhaust .414" valve lift, 218 degrees duration at .050" valve lift

Not bad for $25 and some insight from Larry @ ENDYN

not bad, have you checked the specs on the D15b cam yet, so the myths about it being some crazy aggressive super D cam can be put to rest.

I would need someone to send me one first, also would need a VTEC head.......

I am reading this right.

You can put a D15BJDM crank into a D15 block,
put the same rods and pistons in, and a thicker Headgasket ...
and you will be fine ?

a little more to it than that, but you kind of have the idea. d15b crank uses d116 rod journals and d15 main journals, so w/ the right piston it will all work in a d15 block however, the pistons are the tricky part because the short deck height of the d15 and l137mm rod combonation. pms pistons work and yield pretty high compression, though it hasnt been done much there are a few people working on it.

i will be putting p08 pistons and a z6 head on my z1 soon, but will be stuck w/ puny d15 rods until i swap to a sohc zc or some other d16. dont think i will go w/ the d15b as a swap because replacement pistons arent readily available. well, they are, but nobody has any experience w/ them and the manufacturer wont release the specs of the pistons so i can make 100% sure they will even work.

Re: d15b2 power?

Right :) I get it, but if you are worried about compression - then why not use the Vitara pistons?
Surley they will work, and lower the compression
