dr.boost -- thanks for the offer of the pistons but this motor is bored .10 over...stock wont work. =(
jeffsciv23...you can shut the ---- up. people were asking for better pictures and for pictures of the bearings. so eat a fatty.

Ok, I've met Nathan and I don't intend on the thread to get bitter because members discuss thier opinions and make it seem like it's going that way.
Nathan is currently doing 3 or 4 turbo setups for some of his local friends and last week he called me and told me he would need oil line kits and couplers. I'm sure me and him can work something out with that deal and he can put the money towards his pistons. Nathan, call me and we'll figure something out.
I feel bad about those nasty nasty pistons. I'm shocked that the car was still running.
Me and Nathan will talk and work whatever out that we are going to work out, and you guys can continue to talk about how nasty that ---- looks. :P

My question is why the hell would anyone buy a motor that was known to have a problem without taking the head off? Whats it take a 10,12 and maybe a 14mm. I know if I was going to see a motor that could have possibly had a problem like a cracked ring I would have brought a set of tool to check it out with. What does checking cost a few minutes of your time and a head gasket! Steve seems like a reasonable guy and I'm sure he probably wouldn't have cared if you wanted to check it out. Damn you guys took the oil pan off why not go the extra step and do the head also 
I think unless Steve all out refused to let you take head off then you should deal with it and forget about any compensation.Even if he wouldn't let you take it off you should have known there was a major problem with it.I know you haven't openly looked for any yet but everyone else that is whining and bitching should look at it like that.
