the gtr doesn't use any 'new' technology, it's nissans twist on it. gm does what it does best, rwd, 2 fat tires, millions of cubic inches. nissan uses the bulk of technology (7spd tranny, awd, seperate t-case from trans, twin turblow) with the added weight from technology crammed into a steel shell, plus the safety of an 'import' car.
argue all you want, spinning 2 tires, steering 2 tires, making it handle and go fast is entirely different than having the ability of an awd car with 400+ hp that can tackle any twisty road with the driver being content in the fact that if his car falls off of a cliff, it will not implode on the first twig it sees, but will roll end on end, and he'll open the door and walk out and say '----, i'm glad i wasn't in a corvette, i'd be dead.'
