If you live somewhere where there is enough sunlight to heat up the heat-soaked manifold more strictly because of UV energy, you would more than likely be dead. Ambient temps abashed, that isn't bloody likely.

Thank you, but the ONLY way the paint is going to GENERATE heat is IF it sees light. The manifold being painted sure as ---- aint gonna help it dissapate heat.

It would just absorb more heat if it was black, the only way it could dissipate heat was if the paint had better thermal transfer than the metal, which isn't happening from store bought lead based/ acrylic paints. NASA has coatings that only insulate to a certain temperature, to keep things efficient.

You'd be better off putting radiating fins on the intake.

meh, who cares. I want to put some wrinkle paint on it yo. I have a black theme to my engine bay anyway. and I have a Hondata intake mani gasket if that helps at all.


The sister is smart 4.0 GPA, cooks, cleans, is learning about turbo cars(knows what a wastegate,BOV,manifold, turbo and cams are & what they do), is learning to wire properly, and has her own Carharts.
