Bloody nice turbo. I know a dude with that unit on his evo 2 :-)

Where do you expect full spool, and how many psi of full spool? Where is redline?

I'd guess and say 6 - 7k spool and 8 - 9 redline??

Can I have one more photo, pretty please, a closer one of the label so I can read it. Cheers.

Can't wait to see this thing run, should kick serious ****.

I wanna put that same turbo on an RB30DET and get similar power with earlier spool, lower redline, and more bottom end torque. Also slower in a heavier car... lol

Keep us posted.

Redline at 9000-9500
spool i am guessing 3500 full boost by 5700, and whatever leed tunes it to is how much boost I will make. Rough guesstamations are 15psi street 28lbs race.
and just for you

LEGEND :-)

I've been ogling at your turbo all day :-) I keep linking it to people, and they keep linking me back the same filthy pics from your account again and again. I didn't realise just how dirty all my friends are! lol

That is quite likely the next turbo I purchase! Wont be for a year or so though :-(

Your spool guesses sound reasonable, and you have the redline to make use of it. I can't wait to see it humming along!

Thanks again.

Fred.

I would ball park spooled by 5500-6 and spin it out to 9500 should be a decent power band if you can get enough tire under it to spot it from spinning. That thing is gonna sound nasty when the boost comes on.

Thanks :-)

I dug up some vids, not exactly what you have (ok, not close really, but...) hx55 bmw and hx35/hx40 hybrid skyline for entertainment :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cS9yOxxS7gg

In that one you can see the car squirm as the sidewalls of the rear tyres flex like a bitch.
