The joy of having a brand spanky new t3

All loosened with ease, no hammering here.

Cheers for the write up Jeff.

Took me so long just to clock the t3 60/63. Although I did use the 13mm wrench instead

I just followed these directions, and my 1989 Saab T3 came apart with little to no fuss. The bolts were soaked in PB blaster for a day, then I used a dead-blow hammer on the wrench. Thanks a ton.

You really have to wail on the exhaust housing to get it to pop off. I soaked it in PB Blaster too, and that helped. I'm gonna sand it with some fine paper when I reassemble.

Does anyone know where to get a new inlet housing gasket (The big circular one)? Mine tore when I opened up the inlet side. Would cutting one out of gasket material work ok?

Had to turn mine around too, but 2 bolts snapped. These were drilled out and the treads cleared. The centre core also needed a bit of heat and the help of a hammer.
One of the bolt holes is open through to the exhaust as it is drilled all the way through. not the best design.
