haha, thanks. i will be getting a ACT xtreme pressure plate with a unsprung 6 puck and see how that goes. hopefully i can find a EX/SI tranny before i get the clutch because we hit 145 at the top of third on the dyno with the slicks on.

put a video up from when it got tuned and a quick 3rd gear pull on the hwy with a shitty DX trans. we were doing 2nd gear pulls on the dyno because 3rd gear would take us up to 145mph with the slicks and the coolant temps would jump from 185 to 215.

well i took the car to the track a few weeks ago and the best i did was a 12.7 at 109 with a 1.9 60ft on 25" slicks with a shitty DX trans with bent shift forks. this was my first time ever running a car at the track too. unfortunately though, i was doing a 3rd gear pull yesterday on the highway against my brothers CBR 600, which i have vids of, and it made some funny noises at the very top of 3rd and spit 2 spark plug wires off. now i have 0 compression in #3, im assuming this means theres a hole the size of my finger in the top of the piston. gonna pull the motor and tear it down within the next week, but chances are the car will be sitting for a long time since i got laid off a few weeks ago from my job that was supposed to pay for school, and i haven't been able to find another job that pays anywhere near what that one did. the turbo seals are pretty much fucked too, so anybody know anyone reputable that does turbo rebuilds? or am i just better off buying another one for $300; i just dont wanna get "blaasted" like a few others i have read about.

Holset chra's are actually supposed to be fairly cheap VS garrett parts. There are also tons of them on trucks, so any decent diesel shop should be able to rebuild it for a low price.
Hopefully it was just the ringlands, but check your oil for metal. Flakes or clean = detonation cracked ringlands, chunks = preignition pnwd the piston. Its not very common to see preignition, since it usually takes lots of audible detonation to end up at that point.
