he right, this goes back to the old *** dohc vs sohc argument. trust me i put 5k into and h22 its gona rip a hole in a f22, and the high compression issue?? thats not an issue, if your going built, low c/r pistons will fix that concern. i have a f22 and i love that motor to death it hasnt let me down yet, but id swap it over to a h22 any day. having driven both my accord and a h22a accord, theres just no comparison.

I think the bottom line is that no matter what the H22 has 75 more HP than the F22. You pay $2200 - $3000 for 75 extra HP, a few more torque, and a better platform if you've got the money to help it along.

If you don't have that kind of money, then you're probably going to look into a turbo for your F22. What you pay to turbo that depends on what deals and such you get, but I've heard from $800 - $1500 for everything you need to build a turbo. The turbo is just a simple and cheaper way to make up those extra HP, but if the H22 is given the same treatment, then you've got more to make up and there is nothing that you can do to the F22 that you can't do to the H22, so you've got to assume that at the very least the 75hp difference will always be there.

ok well after about 20 mins with my saws-all i modified the dsm manifold to fit onto my h22 head. looks a little screwy but the ports line up. and it looks like i'm going to have to shave off part of the block as the boosted f22 guys did. i'm just curious if it will be safe to grind off the part of the block? pic below. thanks guys

yeah, you'll be fine grinding/cutting that stuff out, just don't go past the obvious lines of the block.
