The Acclipse Turbo Project (DSM ACCORDS!!)

Re:The Acclipse (DSM ACCORDS!!)...Trans/Oil Coolers for Turbo Setup
JD you are the man! I never knew you had that accord ---- down that tite. I'm definately going to follow your lead. I'll take the maps - quadnie@email.com and I'm sure Adam and Eric wouldn't mind them too. I think this might have snowballed into a trend.. I'm going to start looking for an accord soon.
On the T25, did you notice any restrictions in flow at higher RPMS? How many psi do you run that bitch up to?
I assume the mounting of the downpipe isn't that difficult, it sounds like you made out pretty easy - was that without a welder?
Anyways, we appreciate the hookup. Keep us informed.

very cool JD thanks for all the advice, sure we could use those maps LOL
you could use a 16g or somehting like that, but the kinda power those things can produce is something the engine could never handle on stock internals, you would need to build it up...

heres a pic of the downpipe. My description was a little vague so this should explain it a little better. If you want to use the factory pipe you have to make it point a little to the right and then you good. You have to cut off the factory flange (or get one from the junk yard and cut it off) and then get the end flared ($7 at muffler shop) then put this flange on it.

This was my first project with the car so I probably put it on and took it off about fifty-leven times so I'm got pretty good at it. If someone lives near NC and wants to do a install meet we could knock it out in about 2 hours if you have all the parts. I'll send out those maps tonight after work. PS big *** sig coming soon!

call me stupid.. but im a lil confused on why u had to take out that chunk to fit the acclipse setup.. was it because u wanted to use the stock downpipe location?
i have seen some others not have that issue.. they just redid the downpipe..past the stock o2 housing..
some clarification on this would be shaweet.. maybe its there and im just too tired to see it :P
anyway.. yeh as mentioned.. ive pieced together these maps that will be tested on midnites car.. sometime soon i hope.. how theyll run... cant say.. im hoping theyll be fairly decent.. there pieced together from alot of roms..
gimpys old f22b1/f22a's.. some that have been tweaked by several friends of mine.. then retweaked by me to meet midnites needs.. etc.. but i think there good basemaps.. well soon find out thou wont we..

Re:The Acclipse (DSM ACCORDS!!)...Trans/Oil Coolers for Turbo Setup
well I started install tonight! everything is going smooth so far. there is NO way you can put the turbo in without chiseling away at the motor mount spot. with the compressor on the left anyway. its not hard to do with a nice die grinder of some sort.
i got the manifold and turbo mounted, the motor mount removed, the injectors in, the oil pan tapped and oil return line run and the charge pipes.
tommorow i have to do the oil feed line (having trouble finding the oil pressure sensor) get my downpipe welded. connect the charge pipes to the throtle body (need a 2.5" to 2" connector and run all the vacume hoses.
hopefully everything goes as smoothly tommorow as it did today. wish me luck.

Oil pressure sensor is right above the oil filter. Once you take the filter off it is about 1in above it. Good luck. If you have ??s post them here so everyone can see how the install goes and get some knowledge. Good luck.
