Re:Coolers for Turbo Setup

I ran the hack with 450's. It worked pretty good for a while but I would get a cell every so often when I would barely get on the gas for some reason. It didnt affect performance or anything but I just didnt like having a cell. It happened when the turbo was off and the 450's and afc were just there too. Never figured out what that was. It runs really good and is quick as hell. I'm running 10psi and had a little detonation before I retarded timing a little in the 2500rpm range (thats why I dont like the hack anymore). I never had a problem with the car except when the first turbo went bad (bad seals) and it smoked like crazy. Now I am running a fmu instead of the hack with prelude injectors to get away from the timing issues. I'll post some pics up soon of the motor mount shaving and all that good stuff for you.

Re:Coolers for Turbo Setup

since im usin a btm, how many degrees would you suggest to retard per lb of boost

Re:Coolers for Turbo Setup

I'd try just 1 degree per pound and see how taht works for you. I never used the BTM before but I suspect that would be plenty enough.

Re:Coolers for Turbo Setup

----, it's like all the HMT 4g accord owners are coming out for this thread. JD, I didn't know you had an accord, nobody wants to talk about accords around here, it's either "CRX this, or LSVtec that". Tell me about your dsm turbo experiences, like how did that T25 hold up? I was really wondering what would happen with it on a bigger motor, did it become a flow restriction in the higher revs?

Hasn't anybody "chipped" one of these cars yet? I'm sure they have basemaps out there someplace for them. Adam mentioned to me that on the automatics there was nil support. Anybody running Turboedit with a 4g?

Thanks for all the input.

Re:Coolers for Turbo Setup

to my knowledge no one has chipped an auto ecu...ppl with stick use civic ecu's and chip those...

and most the guys i kno run afc/hondata/ems or greddy emanage

i think eric would be the first guy i kno that is trying uberdata...im sure there are 4g guys out there that have used turboedit or uberdata before, but just dont kno of them..

Re:Coolers for Turbo Setup

Would be nice to hear from them, especially to get their basemap. I'll have to search around for it when I'm up for some research.
