Re: she wont spool :(
who said it wasnt tuned??
im running a safe tune + 2 bar map sensor with bigger injectors
yeah im thinking a fractured plug.. im gonna swap em tonight
so its down to
plugs
Coils
leads
ill rule out plugs and leads tonight and if its still not going ill borrow some coils to test..
should have it boosted next weekend with any luck if i get the modifications to the dump pipe done

Re: she wont spool :(
hehe, i dont think its the coils tho
i remember i had to bend the aircon compressor lines out of the way a bit to fit the cooler piping to the turbo, i remember accidently crushing a lead, i might have severed it.. gonna test some other leads/plugs tonight

Re: she wont spool :(
whats a wide band?
from my understanding the main killer of turbocharged engines is pinging/detonation that throws rods etc and blows holes in blocks... and the colder the air + less spark = less chance of pinging, im not the first to do this conversion down here and this is how they all run them without an issue

Re: she wont spool :(
the delco, does ajust its self but not over time, does it within the first 5 mins of driving, with like the IAC valve etc... it dosnt really learn modifications.. if it did then why retune it?... its just flexiable with the later ones because they use 27c512's which means its a huge tune.. i poke round in the maps.. its got something like 4 fuel maps, lean cruize (light to no throttle...ie under 2000rpm.. uses no fuel..)
also have things like coolant maps, spark maps, VE (volumetric efficiency) they'res also rev limiter, speed limiter (fuel cut off), i can get the delco part number if you want? as im not sure if its the same but i assume it would be as its a buick engine just manufactured over here.. after 1995 they redesigned the engine for the better and now they've turned it into a 24 valve alloytec 260hp monstor, hydraullic pushrods (no cam shafts) completely ajustable valve timing..
all i know is the after market ecu's are less tunable (such has the haltech) than the delco's but they have realtime tuning
anyway thats not the issue
spark is the issue, its in stock form atm... and its still not working
im at work at the moment... ill go home and change plugs and leads and see if it works
failing that ill change coils

Re: she wont spool :(
ok, found the issue
2x broke leads (must have crushed them when bending aircon lines)
1x broken o-ring = loosing fuel pressure...
explains everything, it starts now.. just gotta cut up this dump pipe and she'll be good
