Hey, been a while since ive been on here, ive made big progress...
from just a noob asking stupid questions, to getting usefull info from you :) to researching what i need to buying the parts to making the manifolds ive got about 1-2 weeks to go, being christmas dosnt help (stupid family, cant get any work done) when tuned this should pump out 250rwkw @ 10psi and run a low 13 second pass quite possibly a 12 second pass heres a teaser shot, im from australia, and the cars called a Holden Calais, 1989 model, Buick V6 (same as your 88 model i believe) makes 127kw @ flywheel stock, and round 100rwkw stock... with a retune from my mate makes 115rwkw and runs, 15.5 1/4 mile its fitted with a Turbo 700 automatic box which can take a pounding... The turbo is a MasterPowers T04E ar0.50 Inlet and 0.68 Exhust compressor wheel, with a 3" dump from the turbo, im gonna get a boost controller soon, the wastegate has a 10psi spring in it heres the price break down so far Turbo + External Wastegate - $500 800x600x80 Intercooler - $205 Steel Braided oil lines(so i dont have a fire) + fittings -$350 turbo manifold materials - $100 silicon piping - $200 Blow off valve - $50 2" boost gauge - $50 2 bar map sensor (for fuel regulation) - $138 4m intercooler piping/ dump pipe straight 3" piping - $80 5x 90deg 3" bends - $60 1x 180degree 3" bend - $20 6x cream top injectors - $10 Vaccume Lines - $10 Top gun longer spark leads - $25 Crow Cam Heavy duty valve springs - $60 ACL VRS kit (inc head gaskets, valve stems etc) - $110 150,000km cyclinder heads - $FREE Clamps - $10 T4 Flange - $30 3" cat converter Flange - $20 V-Band flange kit + Vband - $100 wastegate Flange - $20 booze for my welder - $40 heres some pictures of the car all is not complete yet, work still in progress since i took the photos the turbo manifold has been welded so the turbo is no longer sitting there, btw its all taped up in a safe place :P only took covers off for pictures :P http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...2-23-06_14.jpg Attachment 30440 Attachment 30441 http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...0-21-06_18.jpg Attachment 30442 enjoy |

just a question for you all, what can i use to wrap my cooler piping near the throttle body as it passed the turbo (when its all bolted up turbo wont be leaning against piping) but i want to protect it from heat... i was thinking a heat shield or heat wrap..?? the dump pipe will be wrapped anyway

turbo's get VERY hot... and this cars gonna be given a fair ammount of boost silicon is expensive, the straight stuff is cheap its like $3 per 2.5cm i got 25cm 3" $30 20cm 2.25" $20 1x 3"-->2.25" adaptor $50 1x 2"-->2.25" apaptor $40 1x 90deg 3" bend $60 OHHH ----, forgot.. this is AUD people not USD :P might be why it seems expensive it all adds up!!! |

I though that was a Ford Taurus for a sec. looks cool though that you are doing that. Rear wheel drive too? should be fun. good luck

I have to say that AUS has some pretty sweet cars next to Japan that we'll never see. :'( That's a pretty nice setup. I'd say get a exhaust housing wrap or have it ceramic coated or make a nice heat shield. What else are you using to control the petro injection?
