Yes it can be balanced when you find a balancer big enough to fit them on it (my buddies wasnt wide enough lol)
This has been done on tubbed out 6 second cars making 2000hp before so I am sure it will be fine for me
Yes the rim was widened 2.5"

i guess you couldn't find proper fitting rims so you just had to modify them? looks toight.

as you can see with these 16" wheels it would have been impossible to go smaller (15") and well nobdy makes wide 16" wheels with the correct backspacing so... yah had to modify
it is cool though has a nice factory look (the fronts are gettign narrowed 2.5" for the skinnies )

I have about three contacts on wheel makers that can build 16 inch wheels. You got big ***** running those, not that is a bad thing. Get them checked in X amount of time for cracks, just don't need to see that nice car in the wall because of wheel failure.

We have a nice cnc lathe coming that is big enough to do 24" tall billet wheels
So it wont be long and we will be sporting our own wheels on the car hehe

I have been around racecars for about 20 years. I have thrown away more wheels then people have owned. My job at the track when I was 13-15, wash, inspect by eye, then check with this crazy dye ----. After every third weekend we would cut them in half and throw them in the scrap pile. 3200 dollars a set back in 1995 was a ton of money.

Randy
PS Please name this high end wheel company welding them up.

www.weldcraftwheels.com

Note drag racing has less stress on the wheels than hard cornering and hitting bumps and what not like you are doing in your racing
Hell people have problems with high end weld/bogart wheels breaking when they drive them on the street but zero issues at the track
