That is awesome man, but what the hell are you going to do about steering this bitch?

That looks like a pair of 16 year old ****......------- BEAUTIFUL!

I can't believe it fit that well. Hopefully you get the steering figured out.

Looks sweet, more room than I expected.

Do you think sliding the engine forward, despite hood clearance, to fit a firewall mounted rack a la Chrysler Concorde et al, is an option or do you have a better idea?

if i push the engine forward, it would have to go down as well to match the slope in the hood, and that would take away ground clearnace for the oil pan. where it is right now, the clearance for the pan should be pretty close to stock.

i'm planning on putting the rack under the oilpan. that is about the only option i have, short of running it infront of the engine and getting different spindles or turning them around backwards, which would really mess up the suspension geometry i think.

Well, if the car has to become front steer... it's not like there isn't a lot of room to play with. Guess it's not such a big deal after all, car should turn out well.

Steering shouldn't be a problem. Just give it more throttle and it should come around.

------- awesome... I've decided to do something similar with the 91 Si I've acquired (---- fwd ). Instead of an S2000 mill I'll be using an older turbo engine, such as an sr20, 13b, 1jz etc. I considered an SBC but after taking some measurements I realized there would be too much hacking.

The biggest issues I see coming are 1) that damn rear crossmember 2) steering rack placement and operation and 3)hood clearance. I might end up making a hood cowl out of some sheet metal.

Jago, I still haven't gotten pics of my setup in my 94, I know. There's no photographic evidence that I know anything about anything or my toys/location. I might just keep it that way

you can get an olds aurora 3.5v6 (215hp 230ft-lbs 6250rpm redline) or an aurora 4.0L v8 with 250hp and 260ft-lbs (6500rpm redline and a sweet exhaust note)
and they are cheap as ----, i have even seen a few complete v8 auroras with under 150k miles for like $500-600 ready to be a daily driver
so if you could get the engine, tranny, and electronics you would have a nice powerplant and still get $250-400 for the shell at the scrap yard
only probelm is they are auto but if im not mistaking they are a 5speed auto with a manual shift gait
i know a friend had a 4.0l v8 aurora a couple years ago and it was quick and it weighed like 4100lbs so cut that weight in half and you have a sick *** car
i personally would rather have a 4.0l aurora powered honda than an ls1 powered honda
or a toyota 1uz-fe engine wold be awsome also or an l67 thats a 3800 series 2 pushrod v6 and supercharged they are rated at 240hp and 290ft-lbs stock in 1999 and earlier cars and 260hp and 310ft-lbs in the 2000-2007 cars
and they came in everything i know i have ridden in a couple gtp's and they weigh like 4300lbs and will keep with a 5.0l mustang stock for stock
i think they run 14's stock so again cut the weight in half and i see no reason to expect to run slower than 11's with some traction
