ok so if the dual map, run on both boost and vaccum, then you could run either or? So the computer when it senses the vaccum to boost crossover, then it will read off the positive side of the ignition and fuel map correct??

Also, there is a VTEC mod in the program, is there a way to hook this up to the VTEC controller?

will I be able to control my 750cc injectors with TE?

iNetForce 06-17-2004 10:15 PM

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

up to 450cc with their auto math, I think you can control them by taking the car to a dyno and creating some new fuel maps.

What is up with the vtec thing on Turboedit??

There is a person in my state, fabrik8, he is also on pgmfi.org, and i want to know if his vtec activation on the PM6 will work with turboedit??

The vtec propertie feature in turboedit, does that just change the fuel maps?? or what is that about??

thanks for helping me

TurboEF9 06-22-2004 03:01 PM

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

Well, the hardware changes are just a mimic of the PS9's auto lock up solenoid output line, which we're using for VTEC activation.

If fabrik8 can do those hardware changes for you, then yes.

The code is what runs it, the output line just needs to be there.

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

So, im still trying to talk to Fabrik, so if he can do it, ill get him to do it because im too much of a newbie. I just definetly want it to work with turboedit!!!! So in order for it to work for Turboedit is has to be through a autolock up from a ps9??

warric_k 06-22-2004 05:54 PM

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

either a PS9 or a PM6 with the auto hardware in it.

there is a specific bin that you would need, but worry about the hardware first.

TurboEF9 06-22-2004 06:00 PM

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

Well, that bin will be _the_ primary bin once it's verified that it works.

Not enough beta testers with complete setups.

any support for larger injectors? I have some 780s.

TurboEF9 07-20-2004 10:33 AM

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

You would have to manually scale your maps for them.

The latency at idle would be enormous and I wouldn't know if you could get an OBD0 ECU to idle them. Smallest pulse duration is 1.08ms...

..you might ask Dave L (leed) or Dave B (blundar), they would know more about it I bet.

So far i just want to compliment you on the work you have done, youve put in an incredible amount of hours and i feel that turboedit is not far away from being nearly perfected...

that being said.. and if your open to suggestions... would it be possible to have the title bar show the name of the .bin that is currently open? when working with multiple files i sometimes get confused as to which is open, without opening the window and looking at the bottom. thanks!

Quick Question, Try 11 has real time programing what is that used for? Is that just like Zdyne, you can tune the ecu while its in the car?

IF so how do you connect the ecu to your laptop to be able to change the chip?

Would it matter? The VE curve in vacuum isn't _that_ different naturally aspirated to boost.

With that in mind, one could then use the vacuum maps to custom generate boost maps with the TE automated functions.

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

So TurboEdit as of now is only good for people running up to 450cc injectors?

I really wanna try and atleast get the jist of this program but cant find the time to even try and make a basemap, and if Im going to be shooting for 400whp on an SC61, Ill need the bigger injectors.

Ive got my own wideband and laptop

Most likely going to drive down to meet xenoncron (all the way from Ontario, Canada) throw him some money and get me a nice tune and a little lesson.

Ofcourse that wont be until March or so, so Ive got time to learn

It just seems so dam hard to get the first grasp of the program then build off on that, know what Im saying..

You guys definetely deserve some major appreciation as Im sure you arent making much if any money off of this program and all the time you dump into it

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

Ok question. With OBD0 can you get the ecu to run a D16Z6 and activate the vtec from the computer with out changing any wires at the ecu or do you have to splice some in. Because I don't want to cut any wires on this thing. I just put a new chassis and engine harness in it because i was trying to run OBD1. That sucked. This is all I ask. My car sits in my driveway more than it runs. Please help.

Chris Harris 11-19-2004 01:55 PM

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

You would need to run a PS9 ECU and use the auto lockup solenoid (i forget the Pin #) from the ECU directly to the VTEC solenoid...and then set your activation point in TurboEdit.

Or get an RPM activated switch and enable VTEC that way, while splicing your maps together in the single map in TurboEdit

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

ok so what does a PS9 ecu come out of. Integra or auto civic.
By the way for some reason I can't download turboedit from that website. the source file couldn't be read or some ---- like that.

Re:TurboEDIT Support (OBD0) - Current Verison: 2.0.11

PS9 comes out of a 90-91 Civic EX Automatic
