Default Going with an AFC Hack... Few questions About Timing Retard.

well im going with an afc hack on my 91 crx si
im going to convert to obd1, using the p28, 450cc, tyrus intercooler, beau's old kit ihi turbo std manifold adapter plate.. now i need to do the timing.. what should i do? a MSD BTM? should i just retard the timing at the distributor? i prefer not to spend money and have it work pretty decent but if the BTM is the way to go then of course ill get it.

Yeah, since you already have the obd1 conversion you can just chip the ecu for timing retard.

I WOULD JUST RETARD IT FROM THE DISTRIBUTAR NOT UNLESS YOU HAVE AN ADJUSTABLE CAM GEAR. IM NOT SURE BOUT 12 PSI BUT IVE GOT A D16Y8 IN A 91X SI WITH SAFC AND 450CC DSMS RUNNING 10PSI AT STOCK TIMING WITH NO PROBLEMS.
