IF it sat for over a year, you will have brake issues.

oil pumps like to slop a bit, heavier oil wont really fix it. youll have low pressure at idle
Well I called the guy, and he says the truck has been sitting up for a while. He says it belonged to an older gentleman and he bought it at an auction, and that it wasn't used as a work truck. What he told me is that when he first drove it, it was fine. Then it'd stutter and bog really bad, but then be fine the next time he drove it. He thinks it might just be bad gas. Plausible or just false hope?

You can do nothing of the sort. Sounds like timing and EGR.

I worked on more 300-6, from '93-99, than you ever will. Auto Solutions attracted primarily Volvos and F150s, with Hondas as a distant third. Aside from an old G10 van, my Triumph fetish, and a 323, all I have owned and all I've bought for my mom and for my babymomma are Volvos, Fords, and Hondas.

They are what I know.

So, should I go for it? I need a DD but if I need to spend a couple hundred on small fixes, I don't mind. If it's something rediculously expensive or time consuming, I'll pass.
