s1mplex, couldn't you just buy new rod bearings and one new piston? Ghetto build necessitates ghetto engine rebuild. Hell, I'm sure you could find a used piston somewhere

i need to get the intake ports machined flat, the rtv got sucked in the engine on the first crank over. rod bearings, piston, and possibly rod + new oil pump since 2 years of sitting + no rotation = rusted oil rotors. it's probably going to blow up shortly. either way, these motors are a dime a dozen but i have a much better project to boost.
