Default Best BOV

Hi guys. Need help on a BOV. Could you please suggest a BOV that has less noise and does the job well. Also is it really required if you are doing only around 6 to 7 ps.

THANKS for any help

if you want something quiet just use some BS BOV like ford probe OEM plastic BOV, i am pretty sure that that thing isn't that loud... Why do you want a quiet BOV anyway?

@ 7psi the Tial 50mm BOV is very quite because how it vents, but they are spendy.

btw, you can hear the HKS SSQV about a mile away, sounds like a damn squirrl stuck in a blender,

Why not go with the tried & true dsm bov and dump it right back into the loop (between filter & turbo). Stock dsm cars you can't hear it at all with the stock breather box. Put a high flow cone intake and only YOU will notice in between shifts (not the other car).

I think it was only a real tease for my brother, he is only begging for more pfffst, but 2g dsm cars don't like you to vent at all.

Right, but just set it up to recirculate, the dsm parts are so easy and cheap to get them to play by the stock dsm rules (since everyone who has a 2g eclipse just has to vent it & go aftermarket).

Or you could go the super cheap route and run a 2g black plastic shelled bov, getting even cheaper there. I also prefer for the 1g for the fact that it has a real flange.. the 2g bov just gives me the feel like it's gonna pop out one day. That and the toy like look of it just make it even cheaper when you are trying to buy one

Anything that vents to the atmosphere is gonna be heard by anyone near your car. You're taking a bunch of compressed air and forcing in through a small hole at high speeds.

Hell, even some recirc'd turbo cars (like my friends 1.8T GTI) are very audible at pretty good distances...

the stock MR2 valve acts quickly and will never leak. it's not really any better than any of the aftermarket ones, but it's probably cheaper. i've got a greddy type S on mine and when it's recirculated it's not very loud, but you do get enough sound to make it sound cool.
